Class of 2018 Parents Fund
The Class of 2017 Parents Fund was chaired by Clive and Dawn Baillie, parents of Paris '17, and their leadership committee of 12 senior parents. They raised $738,632 in gifts and pledges to support two primary priorities: financial aid and health and wellness initiatives on campus. In addition to those two priorities, gifts were received to support other areas of interest, including faculty programs, athletics, student programs, sustainability initiatives and other things specific to students' experiences at Skidmore.
In recognition of participation and support of the project, a brick was engraved with the name of each student in the Class of 2017 and placed on the brick pathway near Case Center.
The senior parents fund has had a significant impact at Skidmore since 2001. Skidmore parent volunteers launched the project, designed for three primary purposes: This fundraising project brings together parents, grandparents, and extended family members to honor and celebrate their graduating senior.
- To recognize and celebrate the achievements of their sons or daughters
- To provide financial support for students and the campus environment
- To serve as a model for students by reinforcing the importance of philanthropy
When you make a gift of any amount, your senior's name will be inscribed on a brick in the patio adjacent to Case Center. The brick pathway will serve as a permanent tribute to students' successes and help inspire others to follow in their footsteps.
